At 12:01 am EST I submitted this video as part of our application to the Pepsi Refresh Everything grant competition. My hands were literally shaking after I hit ‘enter,’ hoping we would be one of the first eligible 1,000 entries. Competition just to compete is pretty fierce! We’ll know October 1 if we made the cut. In the meantime, a huge THANK YOU to the small army that made this video possible:
  • Our amazing pro bono marketing team at Karsh|Hagan in Denver. These folks developed the concept, storyboards and script, not to mention put up with me over the past several weeks to help make our idea a reality.

  • Capone, a now 6-ish year-old rescue dog from our newest member shelter, All About Labs in Little Rock, Arkansas, whose only “demands” were a game of fetch, plenty of cold water and a nice soft bagel.
And last, but as far from least as one can possibly be:
  • Charles, our family member, volunteer, WWII veteran and undeniable star! Charles kept his cool in spite of numerous takes in the hot summer sun, and lent his voice and his heart to our cause. Charles makes it abundantly clear why his generation is called “the greatest.”
