Occasionally we get requests from the public to help spread the word about a special animal in need. This week we were contacted by a veterinarian in Pennsylvania about Eli, a very special cat whose owner relinquished him to the vet after Eli’s right hind leg got caught in a trap.
Eli underwent successful amputation surgery and desperately needs a loving, forever home. For now, he’s recuperating at the veterinarian’s office in Dallas, Pennsylvania (near Scranton and Wilkes-Barre).
The veterinarian is the wife of an active duty service member (woot!), so we thank her and her husband for their commitment to our country. Now, we ask for your help to assist her in finding Eli a new home.
Eli is an otherwise healthy, 10-month old male neutered cat. As you can see from the pictures, he’s quite the looker. The bandage on his front leg is a temporary pain patch and, in spite of his surgery, Eli seems to have found a way to motor around quite nicely!
If you or someone you know is interested to give Eli the love he needs and deserves, please contact Dr. Erin Kalo directly at 570-675-3406 (w) or 717-712-8974 (m).
Not sure what all the fuss is about…
